“Once being disabled, there wasn’t a lot of information on what to do after you can’t practice what you loved and trained for. What else is there to do? I found a big void there.”

Dr. Barabara Ebel (@BarbaraEbel) is known as the “Credible Medical Fiction Writer”. Prior to her writing career, she practiced as an Anesthesiologist. Unfortunately, after losing complete use of both of her shoulders, she found herself disabled and unable to work in Anesthesia any longer. For some, this would be disheartening and stop them right in their tracks. Yet for Barbara, her tale is different.

Dr. Barbara has transferred her experiences as a physician into the world of Medical Fiction novels. Her series follow different perspectives, for example, the viewpoint of a medical student who rotates through various medical specialties. Let us learn from Dr. Barbara Ebel, “Credible Medical Fiction Writer,” an inspiring human being who has transformed her disability into a new strength.
